31 rules and pet peeves for online multiplayer.

  3. 03Creating duplicate accounts is cheating. If you want to play with yourself go off-line and do it.
  4. 04Don't be afraid to ask
  5. 05Don't deliberately injure your own teammates (friendly fire)
  6. 06Don’t eat in my ear!!
  7. 07Don't forget to communicate
  8. 08Don't hold up survivor games by going AWOL
  9. 09Don't pick on the defenseless as their defenses may be hidden or you may be just discouraging a newbie from ever playing the game again and that's just wrong.
  10. 10Don't say sorry if you don't mean it
  11. 11Don't send repeated invites to guilds, teams, duels, matches or other group functions. If someone says no once they don't want to play... get over it!
  12. 12Don't single someone out just because you can
  13. 13Don't take getting FRAGGED personally... after all it is just a game

  16. 16If you are playing a first-person shooter game don't whine when others go after you, Of course they want to win too.

  18. 18If you play a team game don't be greedy and snap up all the points were all the bonuses or bonus weapons. Share and share alike.
  19. 19If you play on a team with a team. There is no "I" in team. Not everyone can be the hero every time. Don't rush ahead it will cost your teammates or they'll have a reason to hate you.
  20. 20It is rude to FRAG immediately after respawning, give them a second to get their bearings.

  22. 22Keep insults and smack talk game related. Never insult someone's religion or personal beliefs. Don't be a racist. Just as in the real world, hate is hate and is unacceptable
  23. 23No spamming! In written chat is writing the same thing repeatedly in voice chat. It is saying the same thing repeatedly. In both cases, it's a desperate attempt at gaining attention and is juvenile and annoying.

  29. 29Veteran players should not pick on newbies. There is no glory in beating someone who isn't even sure how to play yet.
  30. 30When playing online teams don't vote to boot a newbie for just a few mistakes. Give him pointers instead and help him become a better player. We were all new players and made mistakes once.
